Everyone deserves to be heard
Your emotional health and sense of well-being is so important. I’m here to work alongside you, helping you to make sense of things that might confuse you right now, whilst reminding you that you are not alone and change is always possible. I believe a trusting relationship is the foundation for progression to positive change. I hope to build this with you in a supportive and non-judgemental relationship.
Talk – to me about your concerns in complete confidentiality
Change – unhelpful thoughts and patterns of relating
Grow – confidently towards fulfilling your true potential
The therapeutic process is not one to be rushed as it is something that unfolds over time. Think of therapy as constructing a new house. It may seem as though the foundations and groundwork may take quite a while to be done, but these are crucial in the overall strength of the finished building.

I developed a keen interest in counselling many years ago as a result of my own tragic experiences. They were both valuable and life changing.
They gave me hope and taught me no matter how difficult or painful the situation, there were opportunities for growth and empowerment.
I would like to give you hope too
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS) and the Professional Standards Authority. This gives you peace of mind, knowing I work to high standards in terms of confidentiality and ethics. I undertake monthly supervision, hold public liability insurance and regularly undertake professional development to update my practice and the services I offer my clients.
I have worked for several charities including MIND and Cruse Bereavement Care.
As new counselling practices develop, I too will continue to develop my skills and knowledge through training and continued professional development. This ensures that you receive a professional standard of counselling from me that embraces the latest developments.
I understand that some people like face-to-face support, whilst others prefer help from the comfort of their own home. As such, besides face-to face, I offer online and telephone counselling, so that wherever you are, we can still stay connected.

the name Therapy Inside Out?
I named my practice this because I believe change takes place from the inside first and then works outwards.
We all have emotions – we can’t see them, but they have a powerful effect on our thoughts and actions.

Because dandelions do not stop growing because they are weeds.
Whenever dandelions fall apart, they start again!

Covid is a real concern. Both my counselling rooms are large enough for us to sit at a safe 2m distance. I will ask you to clean your hands on the way in. I would also ask you to use your own bathroom before you come.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to go into self-isolation, even if you have not been the week before as this allows both myself and other clients to make informed decisions.
